Gail S Wolfe, D.V.M.
Dr. Gail Sommers Wolfe was born in Baltimore, Maryland. Her desire to become a veterinarian began in early childhood and never wavered. She graduated from Michigan State University with High Honors earning a B.S. and a D.V.M. degree receiving the MVMA award for Highest Scholastic Standing. She has been in private practice for many decades so your pet will receive excellent care from an experienced veterinarian. She is the owner of Bennett Road Animal Clinic, Inc. She has volunteered at local nursing homes with her own pets. She belongs to several religious organizations. She has been recognized by the Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter for the James Herriot Humanitarian Award. She has been voted Favorite Veterinarian in the local newspaper multiple times!
Professional Associations she belongs to include the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, and the Mid-State Veterinary Medical Association. She organized People, Pets, and Vets (a public education program) for nine years. She prides herself in helping the future generations of veterinarians; she mentors veterinary students as well as facilitated a V.I.P.S class at MSU. She was a member of Phi Zeta Honor Society in college and belongs to the local Mensa group. Recent widow of Alan J. Wolfe, after 56 years of marriage, she has two sons Rustin (married to Allison Kaplan) and Kyle (married to Heydy); daughters Lauren (married to Casey Lamb) and Kami (married to David Schneider); and eight grandsons, Austin, Oscar, Colton, Ezra, Aiden, Wesley, Nolan and Quinton; and three granddaughters, Joselyn, Claire, and Zelda. Her canine family members are her swimming buddy, a brindle pug, named Sabrina and Hulk, a 2 year old 97 lb. golden retriever who still chews up everything he can. Her feline family member is a cat, Ted who is in a love relationship with Sabrina. Their Instagram page is #Sabrinaandted.
Maddisan Warner- Veterinary Assistant
Maddi Warner joined the practice in August of 2024. Growing up on a farm, her love for animals grew. She graduated with a B.S. in wildlife biology from the University of Michigan and is currently attending University Environmental for her B.S. in Environmental Engineering. She enjoys playing sports such as softball and cornhole. As well as traveling and going on hikes with her dogs.
Isabelle Saucier – Veterinary Assistant
Isabelle Saucier joined the practice in October of 2023. She has known that the animal field was for her as long as she can remember. She is a recent graduate from Michigan State University receiving a B.S. in Zoology and a B.S. in Animal Science. Her love for animals has taken her great places such as Kenya to research behavioral ecology of African Mammals. Isabelle aspires to attend Vet school to become a veterinary ophthalmologist in the zoological field.
Samantha Buckner – Veterinary Assistant
Samantha has a deep passion for animal care and conservation. Her commitment to animal welfare and conservation has taken her across the globe, contributing to the health and well-being of animals in both domestic and wildlife settings. Their broad experience in animal care highlights their dedication to making a meaningful impact.
They began their journey in animal care and conservation in South Africa. Samantha volunteered at the De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Centre; actively participating in wildlife conservation efforts, including feeding programs and maintaining natural habitats. She also is an activist who volunteered at the renowned Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai. As a volunteer veterinary assistant in Thailand, Samantha treated animals affected by the harsh logging and tourism industries. She was responsible for cleaning wounds, administering both daily medications and annual vaccinations, and ensuring the animals followed their designated care schedules. Domestically, Samantha volunteered regularly at the Capital Area Humane Society in Lansing, caring for animals and assisting staff with potential adoptions.
Samantha has gained valuable experience at the Michigan State University Veterinary Center in East Lansing, where she held several key roles. Her responsibilities included sterilizing surgical suites, coordinating surgical schedules, and preparing animals for procedures, ensuring the highest standard of care for both small and large animal patients. With a strong foundation in veterinary care, Samantha is planning to pursue advanced education in veterinary medicine to further her expertise and impact in the field.
